About 3P

I’m Olivia— a writing coach, educational consultant, actor, and public speaking coach. With a BA in Theater Studies from Yale, an MFA in Acting from NYU, and experience as a Yale admissions interviewer, I bring together a unique blend of storytelling expertise, admissions insight, and communication coaching.

As an associate member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), a UC Irvine Independent Educational Consultant certificate candidate, a former content creator for ACT and SAT practice tests, and a college essay tutor for ten years, I founded Pen, Path & Presence (3P College Coaching) to help students approach the application process with authenticity and direction.

Pen – Crafting Authentic Stories

As an actor, I’ve always been fascinated by how a single action — telling a great story — can transform another person’s thoughts and feelings. Through college essay coaching, I help students explore their most compelling stories: we dig deep to uncover meaning, shape experience into insight, and transform self-doubt into self-knowledge. Ultimately, I help students craft essays that make an admissions officer pause and pay attention.

Path – Navigating the Journey

In addition to essay guidance, I offer light advising on high school preparation and the college admissions process. I provide a la carte guidance on college list building, demonstrated interest, application strategy, course and activity selection, summer opportunities, and more.

Presence – Owning Your Individuality

My passion for acting led me to teach Shakespeare to incarcerated women and coach executives in public speaking, which only deepened my understanding of how to impact an audience. Additionally, serving as a Yale alumni admissions interviewer has given me particular insight into what makes an applicant stand out versus fall flat. Whether students are preparing for college interviews or working on a Glimpse video, I embolden them to embrace their unique personalities and points-of-view to make a truly memorable impression.
